The New Britain Police Union provides representation to over 160 men and women serving the City of New Britain as police officers, detectives, police supervisors, and animal control officers.

As the bargaining agent for these individuals, we assume the responsibility of negotiating their conditions and benefits of employment as well as maintaining their employment rights.

The Union, in conformance with it’s constitution, is administered by a Union Executive Board consisting of the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, three shift representatives, a detective representative, and a supervisor representative. The individuals serving in these positions are elected by a vote of the entire membership every two years.

It is the New Britain Police Union's goal to be involved with our local government and community. Please check our current events page for any current raffles, or fundraisers.

We not only fundraise to help our fellow brothers and sisters in the police department, but also to give back to the community that we are a part of everyday.

The Union office is located at 10 Chestnut Street at the New Britain Police Department
